Pioneered by the French physician Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952, mesotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment that targets problem areas with microinjections directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin.) These microinjections use conventional, FDA-approved medications that are highly specific to the condition being treated. The mesotherapy treatment for eyebags uses a combination of medications that shrink packets of fat, reduce fluid accumulations and tighten skin.
